Tyler & Paul at Sandringham Yacht Club

The Couple’s Vision

Tyler and Paul envisioned a fresh, elegant atmosphere for their waterfront wedding, with a colour scheme that blended classic whites and lush greenery, accented by subtle touches of purple and blue. Their brief was simple: timeless, modern, and full of natural beauty.

Venue: Portsea Lifesaving Club

Sandringham Yacht Club provided the perfect coastal setting for Tyler and Paul’s celebration. With panoramic views over Port Phillip Bay, the venue offered a stunning backdrop for both the ceremony and reception. The light-filled spaces and waterfront location set the scene for a relaxed, elegant wedding, allowing the floral arrangements and personal touches to shine.

Floral Design Details

  • Ceremony: Dramatic floral horns framed the ceremony space, overflowing with white blooms, fresh greenery, and vibrant pops of blue and purple. The sculptural shapes added a modern, artistic touch while drawing the eye to the couple as they exchanged vows against the bay backdrop.

  • Palette & texture: The overall palette was a crisp mix of white and green, elevated with bold blue and purple highlights. Textural elements included lush foliage, velvety petals, and the soft, trailing forms of orchids, adding depth and visual interest to each arrangement.

  • Bridal Bouquet: Tyler carried a cascading bouquet featuring elegant white orchids and roses, with accents of blue delphinium and purple lisianthus. The bouquet combined structured, flowing lines with delicate movement, creating a statement piece that felt both classic and contemporary.

  • Reception: Low-line centrepieces were designed for the round tables, allowing guests to converse easily while enjoying the layered mix of white flowers, greenery, and subtle hints of blue and purple. Bud vases with single stems added extra detail and colour throughout the reception space.

Why Everlasting Flowers?

Tyler and Paul chose everlasting flowers so their arrangements would look flawless all day and could be kept as a special memento after the wedding. With no wilting, no seasonal limits, and the option to preview everything in advance, everlasting florals offered peace of mind and lasting beauty for their celebration.
