As a Melbourne wedding florist who has created flowers for couples across the Yarra Valley, I've had the privilege of working inside most of the region's best venues, and seeing them through the eyes of a supplier, not just a guest.
The Yarra Valley is one of Victoria's most stunning wedding destinations. Think rolling vineyards, mountain views, heritage estates, and that golden afternoon light that photographers dream about. It's about an hour from Melbourne's CBD, close enough for guests without requiring overnight stays, but far enough to feel like a genuine escape.
Here's my honest guide to the venues I know and love, and a few notes on what makes each one special from a floral perspective.
Stones of the Yarra Valley
Style: Rustic Tuscan elegance | Capacity: Up to 300 guests
Stones is arguably the most iconic wedding venue in the Yarra Valley, and for good reason. Set among rolling vineyards and ancient oak trees, the grounds feel almost European, with 1800s stone buildings that have been beautifully restored. Couples can exchange vows in the chapel or on the lawn in front of the vines, and the Stable and the Barn offer flexibility for everything from intimate ceremonies to large receptions.
From a floral perspective, Stones suits lush, romantic arrangements. Think overflowing garden-style bouquets, textured centrepieces with greenery and candles, and ceremony arches that complement the stone architecture. Our everlasting flowers are particularly well suited here; outdoor ceremonies under oak trees in Melbourne's unpredictable spring weather are exactly what faux blooms were made for.
Vines of the Yarra Valley
Style: Elegant vineyard | Capacity: Up to 350 guests
Perched on top of Helen's Hill with sweeping views across the valley, Vines is one of the region's premier event venues. The setting is consistently stunning regardless of season, and the team there are experienced at delivering seamless weddings at scale.
We're proud to be a preferred florist at Vines and have created florals for many couples here. The elevated setting and vineyard backdrop lend themselves to romantic, relaxed florals, and the long aisle is perfect for a statement ceremony arch.
Coombe Yarra Valley
Style: Heritage estate | Capacity: Up to 150 guests
The historic home of Dame Nellie Melba, Coombe is one of the most unique and storied venues in the region. Set on seven meticulously maintained acres, it offers multiple ceremony options: beneath a 180-year-old oak tree, in the Italian garden, or under the clock tower. The function space is modern and light-filled, with a warm stone fireplace and views across the vineyard.
The food and wine here is exceptional, with head chef Neil Cunningham designing menus around estate-grown and seasonal produce. If you're looking for a venue that feels genuinely special, somewhere with history and soul, Coombe delivers.
The Farm Yarra Valley
Style: Rustic farmhouse charm | Capacity: 130 seated, 180 cocktail
Just 30 minutes from Melbourne in Warrandyte South, The Farm is perfect for couples who want an intimate, relaxed, farm-to-table wedding experience. Festoon lights, timber verandahs, vineyard views, and a farm-to-plate menu make this one of the most charming venues in the region.
The relaxed, natural aesthetic at The Farm suits loose, organic florals, meadow-style bouquets, native greenery, and earthy tones work beautifully here.
Immerse Yarra Valley
Style: Boutique winery | Capacity: Intimate to mid-size
Immerse is a picture-perfect boutique winery tucked into the Yarra Valley hills. Couples can choose between three ceremony settings — the vineyard chapel with its soaring floor-to-ceiling windows, the paddock beneath the trees, or the garden chapel set directly in front of a lake. Each setting is stunning in its own way.
The vineyard chapel in particular is one of my favourite ceremony spaces in the valley — the light that filters through those windows is extraordinary, and floral installations in that space really sing.
Acacia Ridge
Style: Relaxed vineyard | Capacity: Up to 200 seated, 280 cocktail
Set back from the Melba Highway in Yarra Glen, Acacia Ridge benefits from far-reaching views over the vineyard to the mountains beyond. The ceremony spot sits right at the base of the vines, overlooked by an 1850s miner's hut. The reception is held in a boho-inspired marquee with open-air views across the valley.
One of the things I love about Acacia Ridge is the flexibility. You can bring in food trucks, work with local caterers, and really make the day your own. The boho aesthetic lends itself to free-spirited, wildflower-inspired florals.
Inglewood Estate
Style: Rustic barn | Capacity: 50–120 guests
Nestled in Kangaroo Ground and completely tucked away, Inglewood Estate offers relaxed country-style weddings with a vine-covered stone chapel that is honestly one of the most gorgeous ceremony spaces in Victoria. The Cottage, Barn, Chapel and gardens all sit on the one property, so your entire day unfolds in one place, no transfers, no logistics stress.
The staff at Inglewood are wonderfully supportive and genuinely collaborative with suppliers. For couples dreaming of a rustic but refined celebration, this venue is hard to beat.
