Ruby & Luca at Portsea Lifesaving Club

The Couple’s Vision

Ruby and Luca wanted a bold, joy‑filled celebration by the coast. Cright, saturated colour, playful textures, and a ceremony feature that felt fun and unmistakably “them.” The brief: an eye‑catching statement for the vows and relaxed, unfussy reception styling that kept the room light, breezy, and full of personality.

Venue: Portsea Lifesaving Club

Portsea Life Saving Club brings those sweeping seaside views and an easy indoor–outdoor flow. Perfect for a summer celebration with salt air and golden light. The ceremony took in the coastline as the backdrop, while the reception space let the colour story shine without competing with the view.

Floral Design Details

  • Ceremony: We created sculptural floral “horns” flanking the couple. Two curved, asymmetrical installations rising from the ground and arcing outward to frame the moment without blocking the ocean outlook. Built with high‑quality everlasting blooms in bold brights and layered with greenery for movement.

  • Palette & texture: Vivid pops across the spectrum. Think hot pinks, punchy corals, citrusy oranges, buttery yellows, and a sprinkle of lilac for contrast. Playful form and airy textures kept everything lively and modern.

  • Wedding party: Ruby’s bouquet echoed the bright palette with an organic, hand‑tied shape and soft ribbon tails; bridesmaids carried smaller, coordinated versions. Boutonnieres were simple focal blooms, low‑profile and photo‑ready.

  • Reception: Bud vases were the hero. Clusters of single stems and mini posies scattered along the tables to keep sightlines open and the room feeling effortless. We mixed heights and colours for a collected look; add our hire candles and holders if you want a sunset glow.

Why Everlasting Flowers?

Coastal weddings can be windy and warm. Everlasting florals keep their shape, colour, and polish from beach breeze to last dance. We pair realistic faux blooms with fresh foliage so you get the best of both worlds: vibrant, camera‑ready colour and natural movement. Plus, Ruby and Luca can keep their bouquets long after the day, a bright reminder of the celebration.
